A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet. He held up a sign which said: "I am blind, please help." There were only a few coins in the hat.�
 
A man was walking by. He took a few coins from his pocket and dropped them into the hat. He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words. He put the sign back so that everyone who walked by would see the new words.
Soon the hat began to fill up. A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy. That afternoon the man who had changed the sign came to see how things were. The boy recognized his footsteps and asked, "Were you the one who changed my sign this morning? What did you write?"
The man said, "I only wrote the truth. I said what you said but in a different way."
I wrote: "Today is a beautiful day but I cannot see it."
Both signs told people that the boy was blind. But the first sign simply said the boy was blind. The second sign told people that they were so lucky that they were not blind.  Should we be surprised that the second sign was more effective?
Moral of the Story: Be thankful for what you have. Be creative. Be innovative. Think differently and positively.
When life gives you a 100 reasons to cry, show life that you have 1000 reasons to smile Face your past without regret. Handle your present with confidence. Prepare for the future without fear. Keep the faith and drop the fear.
The most beautiful thing is to see a person smiling¦
And even more beautiful is, knowing that you are the reason behind it!!!

耶穌由於四十天之久沒有進食而感到飢餓，使魔鬼有了試探祂的機會：「你若是天主子，命這個石頭變成餅吧！」（3）在敘述層面上，這個試探回應耶穌受洗的情景：「有聲音從天上說：『你是我的愛子』」（路三22）。魔鬼要求耶穌利用這個特殊身份所具有的特殊力量施行一個奇蹟，解決飢餓的問題。耶穌卻引用申命紀的話回答魔鬼：「人生活不只靠餅」（申八3），強調對人而言，解除飢餓並不是最重要的問題。

服務小姐走了近來，遞給兩人一人一張精緻的紅色清單：“先生女士好，這是兩位的帳單，也是本酒店的最後一道贈品，名叫‘永遠的帳單’，請兩位永遠保存吧。"
­他看著帳單，眼淚淌了下來。 
 “你怎麼了？”她連忙問道。 ­
他把帳單遞給了她：“親愛的，我錯了，我對不起你。”
她打開帳單一看，只見上面寫著：
一個溫暖的家；
兩隻操勞的手；
三更不熄等您歸家的燈；
四季注意身體的叮囑；
無微不至的關懷；
六旬婆母的微笑；
起早貪黑對孩子的照顧；
八方維護您的威信；
九下廚房為了您愛吃的一道菜；
十年為您逝去的青春……
這就是您的妻子。 ­
  “老公，您辛苦了，這些年也是我冷漠了你。”她也把自己的那份帳單遞給了他。他打開帳單，只見上面寫著：
一個男人的責任；
兩肩挑起的重擔；
三更半夜的勞累；
四處奔波的匆忙；
無法傾訴的委屈；
留在臉上的滄桑；
七姑八姨的義務；
八上八下的波折；
九優一疵的凡人；
時時對家對子的真情……
這就是您的丈夫。 ­

每個人的生命有限，早晚終將結束，因此每人都應把末日放在眼前。但是，由於沒有人可以確切預知這個日子，因此我們不應浪費精力猜測末日究竟何時到來，而應該致力於聽從耶穌的言論，實踐祂的教導，也就是時時準備好自己，隨時歡迎末日來到。

在每個人，就是和人子 ─ 耶穌基督 ─ 決定性相遇的時刻，因此我們應該在生命當中不斷地感恩，感謝耶穌基督在祂的生活、工作和苦難中，把天父啟示給我們。

福音作者以生動的戲劇性手法，描述耶穌所觀看到的情景：「許多富人投入了很多…… 一個窮寡婦投入了兩個小錢。」關於富人所提供的大量捐獻，基本上不值得特別注意，這個情況在這裡的價值只在於和這位寡婦「兩個小錢」形成強烈對比。按著當時的羅馬幣制，兩個小錢就是一文銅錢的四分之一，其價值微乎其微的。但是，耶穌有另一套衡量價值的標準，祂指出這兩個小錢是窮寡婦「全部的生活費」（44）。雖然她窮的只有二個小錢，卻沒有為自己的生活所需留下「一個」，顯示出她為了天主而完全忘記自我的精神。
這個鮮明的對比觸動耶穌，祂有感而發地開口教導門徒。耶穌指出這個寡婦所捐出的錢雖少，但是其價值比所有向銀庫裡投錢的更高，因為別人只是拿自己所剩餘的來捐獻，而窮寡婦則是將生命的必需品捐贈出來。耶穌的言論表達出猶太人最根本的思考方式：人的一切全是神的恩賜，面對神；人完全是負債者，因此和神往來的最正確態度就是毫不保留地把自己奉獻給神。
從福音經文脈絡來看，這個小小的事件，更強化了前一段經文中耶穌關於經師的指責（40）。就更大的經文脈絡而言，耶穌從進到耶路撒冷後，就不斷地遭受猶太領導階層（富人）的反對與阻撓，對馬爾谷而言，這個窮寡婦的表現，和前面所出現的一切權貴人士的行為相較，更是強烈的對比。
